Objective Of
Saraswati NatyautsabNetajinagarSaraswati Natyasala organize a theatre festival named as SARASWATI NATYAUTSAB. It runs throughout the year in two phases.
Phase-1:- Saraswati natyasala organize a one day festival on every month in which various Theatre groups from various parts of west Bengal and other parts of our country presents their dramas.
Phase-2:- The grand festival of NetjinagarSaraswati natyasala happens in this Phase.
It generally happens between the months from November to December, in which different theatre groups from all over the country showcase their Drama in the invitation of Saraswati natyasala. Beside this NetajinagarSaraswati natyasala also presents SARASWATI NATYASAMMAN to various eminent personalities from the fields of art & culture during this grand festival.
During their last festivals they had already presents SARASWATI NATYASAMMAN to various eminent personalities whose names are given below:-
SARASWATI NATYASAMMAN 2017 – SHRI AJIT ROY (THEATRE PERSONALITY AND SET DESIGNER)
SARASWATI NATYASAMMAN 2018 – SHRI PRABIR GUHA( EMINENT THEATRE PERSONALITY)
Through this approachNetajinagar Saraswati natyasala mainly trying to spread the love and importance of theatre into the hearts and souls of all people who may be the theatre workers or may be an theatre audience. Saraswati natyasala invites various groups from all over the country to showcase their dramas in the platform of SARASWATI NATYAUTASAB ,so that through their dramas, their thoughts and culture can be exchanged between different parts of the country.
Saraswati natyasala believes that the “THEATRE IS NOT JUST FOR ENTERTAINMENT BUT IT IS FOR ENLIGHTING THE MORAL OF PEOPLE”, so the ticket value for the festival is also kept very low so that common people can easily go and watch the dramas and in the other side their contribution through the ticket values helps Saraswati natyasala to go ahead and presents more works like this.
